A little about Hosokai Koi Farm

Hosokai Koi Farm was founded in 1971 in Ojiya, Niigata by Shoichi Hosokai and is now run by his son, Masaru Hosokai. The farm covers roughly 80,000 square metres of raising area and around 100 mud ponds.

The family started as rice farmers. When Japanese agricultural policy encouraged farmers to reduce rice production in the 1970s, Shoichi converted the family's land into koi ponds and began breeding Nishikigoi.

We offer free delivery on the majority of our products over £50. This excludes live fish and bespoke filters. Delivery to UK mainland addresses is £3.95 as standard, or £6.95 for express.
